James Schor

James Schor brings a diverse and rich background to his coaching practice. With a career spanning over two decades in the financial services industry, he left as Managing Director to pursue his passion for helping individuals and organizations thrive. Since 2005, James has been working on culture change, management training, offsite facilitation, conflict resolution, and communication skills training. Additionally, he was a professional tennis player on the ATP tour, reaching #133 in the world rankings and still ranks in the top 15% of all-time prize money earners.

James believes that everyone has the answers to their own questions within them, but life's experiences often block access to this inner knowledge. His role as a coach is to help clients remember how to access their inner knowing by removing those blocks in a safe, supportive, and encouraging atmosphere. He listens with both his heart and ears to understand what is said and unsaid. James is committed to helping clients create the life they want both professionally and personally. He views coaching as an adventure for growth and learning, using concrete processes and tools to move clients towards their goals with accountability, support, and encouragement.

James holds a B.S. in Business from the University of Maryland, a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, and a Master's Degree in Spiritual Psychology from the University of Santa Monica. He is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) and has certifications as a Heroic Coach, Brain Cain CMPC, and from The Garden Company. James resides in Venice, CA, and emphasizes the importance of connection with clients for successful coaching outcomes.
